Upon your arrival at OR Tambo Johannesburg Airport, you will be greeted and welcomed by our team. From there, you will be transferred to your hotel, where you can unwind after the long flight.

April 04, 2026 – Day 02: Full Day Journey to Freedom Tour (B, L)
Start your day with a full-day tour of Soweto (South Western Township), an iconic township that is home to over 2 million people. Despite the challenging living conditions, Soweto has a unique sense of community and a powerful history that contributed greatly to the democratic transition in South Africa.
First Stop: Hector Pieterson Memorial
Here, you will learn about the riots that led to pivotal changes in the country’s history. This memorial commemorates the youth who fought for education and freedom during the 1976 Soweto Uprising.
Next Stop: Mandela House (Optional)
Pass by the historic Mandela House, the former home of Nelson Mandela, and, if you choose, visit the small museum inside to gain deeper insight into the life of this great leader.
Regina Mundi Church
This church, a hub for anti-apartheid activity, hosted underground meetings of banned political parties. As you stand in this place, you’ll feel the weight of its history and the bravery of those who fought for change.
Lunch at Sakhumzi Restaurant
Enjoy lunch at Sakhumzi’s Restaurant, located on Vilakazi Street in the heart of Soweto. Known for its vibrant atmosphere and local tunes, Sakhumzi offers authentic Soweto dishes in a warm, welcoming setting.
Afternoon: Apartheid Museum
Visit the Apartheid Museum, an interactive and multimedia experience that tells the story of apartheid, from its painful beginnings to Nelson Mandela’s historic release. The museum’s powerful exhibits are filled with stories of struggle, bravery, and triumph.
After the tour, return to the hotel for an evening at leisure.
April 05, 2026 – Day 03: Johannesburg to Pilanesberg National Park (B, L, D)
After breakfast at your hotel, check out and transfer to Pilanesberg National Park, located about a 2-hour drive from Johannesburg.
Pilanesberg National Park
The park is situated in the crater of an ancient volcano and spans 55,000 hectares. Known for its rich biodiversity, including the Big 5 (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros), the park is a must-visit for any wildlife enthusiast.
Upon arrival, check into your lodge and enjoy lunch.
Afternoon Game Drive
In the afternoon, embark on a game drive to experience the Big 5 and discover other fascinating wildlife with the guidance of trained field guides. The drive through the park offers an incredible opportunity to witness Africa’s wildlife in their natural habitat.
Return to the lodge for dinner, followed by an overnight stay at Ivory Tree Game Lodge.

April 06, 2026 – Day 04: Pilanesberg National Park (B, L, D)
Game Drives and Meals
Enjoy all meals and two game drives throughout the day. The morning and afternoon drives are excellent opportunities to view the diverse wildlife in the park, including Africa’s iconic Big 5.
April 07, 2026 – Day 05: Pilanesberg to Johannesburg and Cape Town (B)
Early Morning Game Drive
Wake up early for a 5:00am call and enjoy coffee, tea, and hot chocolate with rusks. Depart for a morning game drive at around 5:30am, returning by 8:30am to enjoy breakfast.
After breakfast, check out and transfer back to Johannesburg for a flight to Cape Town (flight not included). The recommended flight time is around 2:00pm.
Arrival in Cape Town
Upon arrival in Cape Town, you will be met by a local guide and transferred to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free for you to relax and explore at your leisure.
Cape Town
Located at the southwestern tip of South Africa, Cape Town is known for its stunning natural beauty, including Table Mountain and the Cape of Good Hope. It was originally founded in 1652 as a supply station for Dutch ships en route to the East and has since become the cultural and economic hub of South Africa.

April 08, 2026 – Day 06: Robben Island, Table Mountain & City Tour (B)
Breakfast
Start your day with breakfast at the hotel. Then, walk with your guide to the nearby ferry terminal for your Robben Island tour.
Robben Island Tour
Embark on a 3½ hour guided tour of Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 18 years of his 27-year sentence. Learn about the island’s significance in South Africa’s and the world’s history.
Lunch at Waterfront
Upon returning to the waterfront, enjoy free time to have lunch on your own at the V&A Waterfront.
Table Mountain Cableway
After lunch, head to the Cableway to ride up Table Mountain. (Weather permitting) Once at the top, take in 360-degree views of Cape Town, Table Bay, and the surrounding mountains. You can explore the summit, go on one of the hiking trails, or relax at the café.
City Tour
After descending, take a drive through Cape Town city past landmarks like Parliament, City Hall, Slave Lodge, and the vibrant Bo Kaap district. (Subject to traffic)
Return to Hotel
Return to your hotel for an evening at leisure.
April 09, 2026 – Day 07: Full Day Cape Peninsula Tour (B, L)

Start your day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel before embarking on your Full Day Cape Peninsula Tour.
Drive Along Millionaire’s Paradise
Your journey begins with a scenic drive along Millionaire’s Paradise, from Clifton to Camps Bay and Llandudno. Continue towards the bustling working harbor of Hout Bay for a brief boat cruise (weather dependent). Enjoy the picturesque views along the famous Chapman’s Peak Drive, where the cliffs meet the ocean.
Cape Point & Cape of Good Hope
Arrive at the Cape of Good Hope section of Table Mountain National Park. Explore the stunning landscapes and take a ride on the funicular to the top of Cape Point. Admire breathtaking views as you immerse yourself in the rich natural beauty of the Cape Floral Kingdom.
Lunch at Bertha’s Restaurant, Simon’s Town
On the way back, stop at Bertha’s Restaurant in Simon’s Town for a leisurely lunch. Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with a view of False Bay and the yacht harbor. The terrace offers a perfect setting to unwind.
Boulders Beach Penguins
After lunch, visit the famous Boulders Beach to see the playful African penguins in their natural habitat.
Return to Cape Town
Continue your journey back to Cape Town for the evening at leisure.
April 10, 2026 – Day 08: Half Day Wine Tour & Dinner at Gold’s Restaurant (B, D)

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before heading out for a Half Day Wineland Tour to Stellenbosch.
Wine Tour in Stellenbosch
Explore the Cape Winelands, one of the most famous wine-growing regions. The tour includes visits to two top wine estates in Stellenbosch, where you’ll experience a cellar tour and two wine tastings. Learn about the winemaking process, from grape harvest to wine glass.
Return to Cape Town
After the tour, you’ll return to Cape Town, with the afternoon free for leisure and exploration.
Farewell Dinner at Gold’s Restaurant
In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at Gold’s Restaurant. Experience the vibrant rhythms of Angola and Congo, and enjoy Xhosa and Congolese dance performances. Indulge in a journey through southern and central African cuisines, with a unique blend of Cape Malay flavors.
